Better website speed
Wink
Why is website speed important?
The Google search engine included this feature in its algorithm back in 2010, which means that Google adds “plus points” to all optimized sites and gives them an advantage over others in organic search and ranking. According to research if a website takes more than 3 seconds to load then over 40% of users exit the website immediately.
At the same time, 47% of users expect the website to load in less than 2 seconds as well as mobile phones, this percentage is exactly the same. On the other side the load time is higher, which also increases the number of users who leave the website immediately. And if a visitor is dissatisfied with your website for the first time, they will probably not return to it.
You ask
How to improve website speed?
There are many factors that affect load speed time. The most basic ones include the design of the website, i.e. the quality of the programmer’s work, the number of files (images, documents, etc.), their size (whether they were compressed), server response, cache settings and many others factors also contribute.
Most factors can be influenced by the website creator, which we at Digihood are aware of and rely on clear and optimized coding. However, there are factors that cannot be controlled, as they depend on the provider and type of hosting. In general, shared servers do not achieve the same results as dedicated (just for your website) servers.

Find out your website performance!
You can find out the speed of any website very easily. Just take a look at Google Page Speed Insights, where after entering the address of your website, you will find out its loading speed time as well as some recommendations on how to achieve a better ranking.
A good rating for classic websites is around 85/100. If you scored below 80/100, then your website requires serious improvement to perform effectively.
5 reasons to increase website performance:
The faster web page loads encourage the user to visit the other pages and increase the user experience and chances to visit the website again.
Your website visitors will be more satisfied and happier.
Customers that are satisfied are considerably more inclined to return back to the website again.
A lower bounce rate (the user opens the page and immediately closes it again) directly affects your position or ranking in google search engines.
Users of mobile phones even have more chances to exit the website immediately if the page doesn’t load quickly.
